A rally took place at Texas A&M University (TAMU) in support of Palestinian rights and in opposition to the university's investments in companies profiting from the ongoing conflict in Gaza. The demonstration specifically protested TAMU's ties to weapons manufacturers and other corporations that contribute to the Israeli military and occupation of Palestinian territories. Speakers condemned the university's complicity in what they characterized as a genocide against Palestinians. The organizers demanded that TAMU divest from these companies and called for an end to U.S. military aid to Israel. The rally also expressed solidarity with the Palestinian people and their struggle for self-determination. The protest comes amid growing student activism on college campuses across the United States, demanding universities take a stand against the Israeli occupation of Palestine. The organizers aim to put pressure on the university administration to re-evaluate its investment portfolio and align it with ethical and socially responsible principles. Around 200 people attended the rally. find the original article here: https://www.wsws.org/en/articles/2025/04/14/tamu-a14.html
