Birthday

It is my birthday.

I am now another year older.

Hard to believe.

Though it does not feel like I have aged too much.

But of course, I have.

I am a year older than I was before.

I am a year closer to retirement.

I am a year closer to becoming a senior citizen.

I am a year further away from the year I was born.
