The Isle of Man TT, a renowned motorcycle race, experienced a tragic start with the deaths of two riders in the first two days of competition. Sidecar driver Roger Stockton and his son and passenger Bradley Stockton were killed in an incident on the second and final lap of Saturday's Sidecar Race 1. Their deaths marked the 265th and 266th fatalities in the event's history. The race was initially red-flagged but later abandoned. Organizers released a statement expressing their deep sadness and condolences to the Stockton family. Earlier, Northern Ireland rider Mark Purslow died during Wednesday evening’s qualifying session. Purslow, making his second TT appearance, crashed at Ballagarey. Organizers confirmed his death, also offering their condolences to his family and friends. The Isle of Man TT is known for its high speeds and challenging course, which contributes to its inherent dangers. These recent fatalities highlight the risks associated with the event, a fact long acknowledged by participants and organizers alike.
