Education Under Attack

A recent conference and series of reports highlighted a deepening crisis in public education, characterized by systemic issues and escalating assaults on both educators and the principles of democratic education. These discussions centered on the imperative for teachers and educational workers to organize independently, outside of established unions and political frameworks deemed insufficient to address the severity of the situation. The underlying premise is that traditional structures are either unwilling or unable to adequately defend public education from increasingly aggressive attacks.
