Argentina's transit workers initiated a militant strike, paralyzing bus services in key industrial hubs throughout the country. This action reflected widespread discontent among workers concerning wages and working conditions, leading to a complete shutdown of bus transport in several major cities. The strike significantly disrupted daily life and economic activity. Simultaneously, in Alberta, Canada, teachers rejected a mediated agreement presented by their union. This rejection indicated a significant disconnect between the union leadership's recommendations and the teachers' demands. The teachers' vote against the deal suggested they deemed the proposed terms insufficient to address their concerns, potentially setting the stage for further negotiations or escalated industrial action. Both situations highlight ongoing labor unrest in different sectors and countries. find the original article here: https://www.wsws.org/en/articles/2025/05/13/iiay-m13.html
