Workers across multiple continents and industries are engaging in strikes and protests driven by deteriorating living standards and unmet wage demands. In Europe, French and Portuguese rail workers are striking for improved wages, while an unsanctioned strike shut down the Brussels metro. In Iran, oil workers, truck drivers, healthcare and textile workers, along with retirees, are protesting against collapsing living standards and failing infrastructure. Meanwhile, in South Africa, hundreds of municipal workers in KwaDukuza walked out due to unfulfilled promises of a pay increase.
