Lacy Case: Justice Denied?

Kyren Lacy, a wide receiver for LSU, was arrested in Baton Rouge and charged with one count of simple battery. The arrest stemmed from an alleged altercation involving Lacy and an LSU student near the LSU campus. According to reports, Lacy is accused of grabbing the student by the neck and pushing him. Following the arrest, Lacy was booked into East Baton Rouge Parish Prison and later released after posting a bond. Lacy’s attorney, Brian Andrews, has stated that they intend to conduct a thorough investigation into the allegations. Andrews emphasized that they will gather facts to determine the truth of what transpired and will fully cooperate with law enforcement throughout the investigation. He expressed confidence that a complete understanding of the circumstances will emerge. LSU Athletics has acknowledged the arrest and stated that they are aware of the situation. They are gathering more information and will handle the matter internally in accordance with university policies.
