On The Edge of Time

There I was, standing on the edge of time.

It was not at the beginning

And it wasn't at the end.

It was somewhere in between.

Sometime in between.

What time?

Who knows?

Time's irrelevant.

Time is arbitrary.

Time is an illusion.

Maybe not completely.

The passage of time is real.

The sense of time passing is real.

We grow and change.

Things change.

Events happen.

Things happen.

People come and go.

We get old and die.

We eventually say goodbye.

We may not see the end of the universe.

We may not see the end of all time.

But from our perspective, our end is the end of the universe for us.

It's the end of our universe.

So, in a way, we all are on the edge of time.

We are close to the end of the universe, at least from our perspective.

We are not at the beginning.

We're not quite at the end.

We're somewhere in the middle.

Lots of stuff happened before us.

Lots of stuff will happen after us.

What will happen after us?

Who knows?

What happened before us?

That's history.

Some of it has been lost to time.

We only got the here.

We only got the now.

We only have right now.
