Pit Bull Nightmare

An Ohio man, 37-year-old Matthew Reum, was presumed dead after being ejected from his vehicle in a car accident on December 20th. He survived eight days in freezing temperatures, trapped in a ravine near Fremont, Ohio. Reum's vehicle went off the road, and he was thrown into a deep, wooded ravine, hidden from view. He was only found on December 28th after two employees from a local company, identified as Vance Holcomb and Justin Etzler, were inspecting a bridge in the area and noticed the wrecked vehicle. They investigated further and discovered Reum alive. Suffering from severe dehydration, hypothermia, and multiple injuries including a broken leg and arm, Reum was immediately transported to a nearby hospital via medical helicopter. Rescuers faced significant challenges extracting him from the ravine due to its steep terrain and dense vegetation. Doctors credited Reum's survival to his will to live and the relatively mild temperatures compared to typical December weather in Ohio. While his condition was critical upon discovery, he is expected to recover. The circumstances of the crash are still under investigation.
