A recent exposé details alleged war crimes committed by UK Special Forces in Afghanistan between 2010 and 2013. According to numerous sources who served with or near these units, these soldiers routinely murdered unarmed Afghans, including civilians and children, in their sleep. There are also accusations of the execution of detainees, even when handcuffed. The report paints a picture of "psychotic killing raids" fueled by personal kill counts and a disregard for the rules of engagement. Crucially, the article asserts that these alleged crimes were systematically covered up, with incriminating evidence routinely hidden or destroyed. The individuals coming forward offer accounts of a culture where such acts were not only tolerated but possibly encouraged, and that reporting these acts would be met with repercussions. find the original article here: https://www.wsws.org/en/articles/2025/05/18/bqfq-m18.html
