The Socialist Equality Party (SEP) is holding an online meeting to analyze the results of the recent federal election and chart a course of action for workers. The SEP views the election outcome as reflecting a deep crisis in bourgeois politics, characterized by widespread disillusionment and a lack of faith in the established parties. The SEP argues that neither the Liberal nor the Conservative party offers a genuine solution to the pressing issues facing the working class, such as rising inflation, economic inequality, and the erosion of democratic rights. They criticize the mainstream media for promoting a false narrative that conceals the underlying class divisions and the failure of capitalist policies. The party contends that the election results demonstrate a growing disconnect between the political establishment and the working class. They believe that a significant section of the population is seeking an alternative to the status quo. The SEP aims to provide this alternative by advocating for a socialist program that prioritizes the needs of workers and challenges the power of the capitalist elite. The online meeting will serve as a platform to discuss strategies for building a socialist movement and mobilizing workers in defense of their interests. find the original article here: https://www.wsws.org/en/articles/2025/05/07/idxx-m07.html
