On April 10th, Argentina experienced a significant nationwide strike in protest against the austerity measures and policies implemented by President Milei's government. The strike, characterized as a general strike, effectively brought much of the country to a standstill, demonstrating widespread discontent with the current political and economic direction. Simultaneously, in Brazil, a separate labor action unfolded in the city of Lages, Santa Catarina. Approximately 3,000 municipal workers initiated a strike, driven by disagreements and dissatisfaction surrounding their employment contracts.
