The Cloud That Stays

A teardrop fell from morning's eye, And drifted gently from the sky. It whispered soft and stayed so near, A quiet friend who holds your fear.
The sun still shines, the birds still sing, But grief can hide beneath their wing. It walks beside you, day by day, A cloud that doesn’t blow away.
It isn’t bad, it isn’t wrong, To miss the one who’s been gone long. It means you loved, and love still grows, Like flowers blooming through the snow.
So hold the hand of time, be kind, There’s healing you have yet to find. And though they’re gone from what you see, Their love lives on—in you, in me.
