May Day 2025 saw over 1,000 rallies across the United States, marking one of the largest May Day turnouts in recent decades. These demonstrations were primarily aimed at opposing the policies and actions of the Trump administration. While a diverse array of groups participated, the underlying theme connecting the protests was a rejection of the government's agenda and a demonstration of solidarity among workers. The rallies addressed a multitude of concerns, including issues of immigration, labor rights, social justice, and environmental protection, reflecting a broad dissatisfaction with the existing political climate. The widespread nature of the protests, spanning from major urban centers to smaller towns, highlighted the depth and breadth of opposition to the Trump administration. The large participation underscored the renewed significance of May Day as a platform for collective action and the expression of working-class interests in the face of perceived threats to their rights and well-being. find the original article here: https://www.wsws.org/en/articles/2025/05/03/jkug-m03.html
