Last month, I had seen the very first movie of the Fox X-Men franchise on Disney Plus. I had honestly never seen many of the X-Men movies before.
It was a good movie overall.
There were some moments in the movie that seem a bit dated in hindsight.
The effects can be a bit goofy and silly at times.
The story itself, though, is pretty good.
Wolverine's personality can clash with the personalities of the rest of the X-Men at times, which provides the movie with lots of tension and emotion and drama.
There's some humor and comic relief in the movie, as well, but it's not the main focus of the movie.
It is the first movie in the Fox X-Men franchise, and as a first film, it definitely laid the groundwork for the subsequent movies following it.
I also like how with Wolverine's character and backstory, the audience knows as much as Wolverine and the X-Men do, and as Wolverine and the X-Men learn more about Wolverine, the audience also learns more. It makes the experience very interactive and immersive.
